About This Game

Exo TD is a game similar to traditional tower defenses with new core experience changes. The setting takes place in fully 3D space as you take control of your planet defenses. With your resources you must construct turrets, shields, orbital defenses, and more maintaining your Planetary Shields as each invasion force and it's flagship boss arrives.

In the standard mode invasion forces will periodically spawn in waves to challenge your grip on the planet, on successfully penetrating your Planetary Shields your planet and all its defenses will be lost to them.

Each wave features an increasingly difficult set of AI ships that will challenge you with new tactics, strategies, and reactive combat abilities. Destroyed enemy ships will often yield drone collectible scrap resources, providing opportunities to upgrade your turrets into newer more powerful models augmenting their defensive capabilities to deal with the increasingly powerful threats.

This game is a little rough -
The UI needs work (upgrades and constructables overlap if you have both on at the same time)
Lack of explation of in-game mechanics such as shields and charges
Lack of a real tutorial
Graphics are low-end
Should cost about 5 dollars less

The pros outweigh the cons -
Once you figure stuff out the game is quite fun and challenging. Yo ucan figure out different ways to defend your procedurally generated mini-earth, and it appears that the game is still being worked on. If you like defense games, where you simply place defenses and have at it, this is definitely an interesting take on the genre. With only one giant portal that orbits your globe, there are no lanes that can be blocked off, but it slowly tests your global defenses as the attacks come from different angles.

Since the game is on sale right now, if you're curious about it you should pick it up as it more closely aligns with the appropriate price-point.. Exo TD isn't terrible. It's a basic tower defense game that looks and sounds a bit sloppy and overly simplistic, but you'd expect that from EA.

The 3d aspect of the game is a nice touch. Defending a globe against ships that are flying around does look a lot better than your usual 2d TD game.

The problem is that this isn't worth anything like what they're asking for. Not even close. This is a $3 game. Anything more than $5 and you're seriously overpaying.. This game is a little rough -
